About the MIHSCThe Michigan Homeland Security Consortium (MIHSC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to driving the growth of the Homeland Security Industry in the State of Michigan. MIHSC serves a targeted membership of Michigan-based developers and manufacturers of products and technologies specific to Homeland Security, as well as those companies and organizations affiliated with the industry. On June 21, 2006, corporate leaders from across Michigan formed the Michigan Homeland Security Consortium (MIHSC) to drive development and growth of the Homeland Security industry sector within Michigan. MIHSC will help the state’s revitalization efforts by providing a targeted forum to diversify the economy. MIHSC is recruiting members, providing networking opportunities and promoting appropriate public policy initiatives. In the longer term, MIHSC will support other activities, such as conferences, a speaker’s bureau and information outlets. While remaining decidedly independent, MIHSC will affiliate with other state and national organizations that represent the Homeland Security or related fields. The MIHSC Board of Officers includes a statewide representation of Homeland Security professionals, businesses and economic development organizations.
